The War Night campaigns are meant to add a sense of realism to SkyFighters 1945. This is not something you would want to get into if you only like fast action dogfights and nothing more. The campaigns will contain missions with difficult objectives, rather long flight times, navigation, and strategic planning. Don't be fooled though. These will also have plenty of dogfighting to go along with the rest of the action. The point is to put as much simulation into this simulator that we can. All these extra dimensions don't take all that much time, but they make the game so much more enjoyable. I have done my best to recreate what the brave young men on both sides were faced with as the air war raged on during WWII. If you are looking for a little bit more out of SkyFighters 1945, then the War Night campaigns are for you. For the most realistic games, we will be using a few rules that will be standard in all missions. These are no ID boxes, no views outside of your own pilot's head, ammo will be set to half, and the pilots of each side can only fly aircraft that are accurate for that side during that certain campaign. Complete rules for each mission will be given along with the individual mission write up. Each team will be responsible for choosing a leader, paint jobs that will be used, any maps of the area, ways of navigating, and of course, strategics. Each side will be given the name of a real fighter unit that is accurate to that particular campaign.
